Beowulf = pure badass!  Michigan offensive line = little sissy girls!

Supposedly my advisor has found out the results of the department vote, but he hasn't let any of us know what it is.  Since he hasn't been a huge asshole, I imagine it was a good outcome (or perhaps he hasn't heard yet).

The department is discussing / deciding my advisor's tenure status tomorrow.  In this case it's not just a formality.  It'll be interesting to hear the outcome - yea or nay.

Susan and I got our wedding proofs on Saturday - they look amazing!  And we get to keep them, too!  They're all prints, so I can't upload any of them at this point.  However, my brother took a bunch of pictures on his digital camera.   Most of them were of the rehearsal and other activities, but he got a couple at the reception.  So here's one of the good ones of Susan and myself:

And for anyone that's hungry, here's a picture of our cake:

That's all for now, I've really wasted enough work time with this.  If I find some more post-worthy pictures, then perhaps they'll appear soon.

Wow, I sure am embarrassed to be a Wolverine right now.  I listened to the season opener on the radio while I was working, and I couldn't believe it when Appalachian State kept tying the game.  Then they went ahead for most of the game, and ended up winning!  I'm curious to see how far Michigan drops in the rankings when they come out.
